The Miami FC vs El Paso Locomotive

The Miami FC vs El Paso Locomotive

It was a nightmare of a match last time out for The Miami FC against Loudoun United. They started off on the right note scoring first but ended up as a 4-1 defeat plus a red card. It left Miami still in the search for a victory with the last one occurring in April. Miami would hit the road for a late night match for us on the east coast facing off against the El Paso Locomotive. El Paso is the second worst team in the league being second to Miami and sitting in dead last of the Western Conference.

Victories have been hard to come by for both of these teams this season but the fans at Southwest University Park would be content on Saturday night. A win for El Paso would be their very first home victory of the season. The Locos as they're nick named would dominate the ball leaving Miami to have to play through the back line and nothing going forward.

Midseason signing for El Paso Robert Coronado would open the scoring with an assist going to Lucas Stauffer would give the home side the 1-0 lead heading into the dressing room. It would be El Paso again in the second half with Amando Moreno finding the back of the net for 2-0 coming off a back heel assist from Eric Calvillo.

Late in the match with time expiring it would be Miami finding the back of the net making it 2-1. There was not enough time to inject hope into the visiting side as the final whistle would blow giving El Paso the three points plus the first home victory of the season. Miami's losing streak extends to 14 with one draw through the streak.

Next up for The Miami FC is a midweek home match welcoming Memphis 901 to Pitbull Stadium.
