The Miami FC vs New Mexico United

The Miami FC vs New Mexico United

Finally for the first time since April, The Miami FC came away with a victory at home defeating Monterey Bay FC. Despite the win it still leaves them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference but let's see if Miami can build off the victory. It'll be difficult as the team has a daunting road trip ahead kicking off against New Mexico United. New Mexico United currently sit first in the Western Conference so the South Florida side will have their work cut out for them.

For a good period of time in the opening half it was a scoreless match with the west leaders maintaining possession over Miami. Right before the teams headed to the dressing room the breakthrough would arrive in favor of New Mexico. Jacobo Reyes would seize the opportunity off of a rebound slotting the shot past Khadim Ndiaye to make it 1-0 for the home side. Miami has not done well this season when the opponent scores first.

In the second half things would remain the same with New Mexico dominating the possession. They would have several opportunities but Ndiaye did a stellar job of keeping things at just a one goal lead. The problem would be that Miami did not have much attack on the night. The score would hold at 1-0 with New Mexico taking all three points.

Next up for The Miami FC is a home match welcoming Hartford Athletic to Pitbull Stadium.
