The Willie Simmons era for FIU football is right around the corner with much excitement amongst alumni and students/fans with the things we've been seeing out of the program during spring practices. Many still have the Panthers finishing near the bottom of the table in Conference USA with Liberty and Western Kentucky predicted to finish on top. 

 

 

 

The Panthers were able to get some notable transfers with names like Lamont Green Jr from Florida State, Aaron Armitage from Stanford, Dante Anderson from Florida State, Antonio Tripp Jr from Miami, Ajay Allen from Miami, Anthony Carrie from Georgia Tech, and Jojo Stone from Louisville. Let's take a look at the schedule slate for the Panthers to kick off the new era.

QB Keyone Jenkins leads the Panthers in his sophomore year looking to take the Panthers to a bowl game for the first time since 2019 under Butch Davis. Florida International also looks to reach a conference championship game for the first time since 2010 under Mario Cristobal in the Sun Belt Conference.
