After a two-game split against the Washington Nationals the NL East schedule continues for the Miami Marlins with the Philadelphia Phillies coming to town. The Phillies currently sit at the top of the division with seven games separating them between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves. The Marlins have officially received the elimination from playoff contention. At this point it's just playing for honor and pride with a brand new young roster.








Game 1: Marlins 2-5 Phillies 


Adam Oller vs Ranger Suarez

The Phillies ran away with the game leading 5-0 at a certain point and would open the series with a 5-2 victory.







Game 2: Marlins 2-16 Phillies


Austin Kitchen vs Zack Wheeler 

An offensive onslaught from the Phillies sees them defeat the Marlins 16-2 for a two-game advantage in the series. 








Game 3: Marlins 9-5 Phillies


Darren McCaughan vs Aaron Nola 

Connor Corby would homer to bring in three runs as the Marlins get on the board in the series defeating the Phillies 9-5.









Game 4: Marlins 10-1 Phillies 


Edward Cabrera vs Seth Johnson 

Seven scoreless from Cabrera plus two homers from Corby helps Miami finish the series tied with Philadelphia after 10-1 win.









Next up for the Miami Marlins is a home series welcoming the Pittsburgh Pirates to loanDepot Park.
