The Miami FC vs Hartford Athletic

The Miami FC vs Hartford Athletic

Just one more home match at Pitbull Stadium after this one as its been a long and grueling for The Miami FC fans. The end of the season can't come fast enough for this dreadful season to end to allow the club to regroup and get ready for next season. The Hartford Athletic would be coming to town after having a difficult season themselves. This would be another chance for Miami to put points on the board.

Miami would start the match with a strong 45 minutes maintaining ball possession. They would have a great chance in the 9th minute with a cross coming into the box but no striker was present to put it in the back of the net. Hartford would also have an early chance but Ndiaye would be there for the save to keep the match scoreless.

There was another chance for the home side in the 29th minute with Allen Gavilanes getting a shot off but a diving save from the Athletic keeper kept things even. Miami was the better side despite going into the dressing room at the half all knotted up 0-0.

The second half was an absolute downfall for Miami. In the 50th minute it was Dieng for Hartford who found himself in a one on one situation. His shot would be deflected off the hands of Ndiaye but was not enough as the ball found the back of the net for 1-0. A shot in the 73rd minute was saved by Ndiaye but there was no defender to clear leaving Farrell all by myself for the rebound shot making it 2-0.

Ndiaye would make a crucial mistake in the 81st minute leaving Dieng with the opportunity to get a brace and indeed he did. Hartford would go on to defeat Miami by a final score of 3-0. It was a match of two halves leaving Miami once again winless. The club will now go on a difficult three-match trip before returning home.

Up next for The Miami FC is a road match visiting the Birmingham Legion.
