From Pittsburgh to the nations capital for the Miami Marlins to open up a four-game series against NL East rivals the Washington Nationals. The Marlins went on a midseason rebuild project with the most exciting prospect so far being Connor Norby. The Fish have already been eliminated from postseason contention. The team has not made the playoffs since the 2020 season where they defeated the Chicago Cubs in a wild card series.

Edward Cabrera vs DJ Herz
Luis Garcia Jr homers for the Nationals plus just one hit allowed from Herz leads the Nationals to a 4-1 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 1-4 Nationals
Valente Bellozo vs Patrick Corbin
Corbin would go for six innings with Jose Tena with two hits including a homer leading the Nationals past the Marlins 4-1.
Game 4: Marlins 3-4 Nationals
Adam Oller vs Mackenzie Gore
The rookie James Wood would go for two homers ending the series with a 4-3 victory for the Nationals.
