Three Walk Offs and Three Victories for the Marlins
There was a lot of criticism towards the Miami Marlins organization in terms of spending to better the team with owner Bruce Sherman being booed on opening day. The truth about this team is that there is a lot of young guys who want to fight hard and prove themselves. Griffin Conine the son of Mr. Marlin Jeff Conine is one of the stars that the Miami fan base is excited about. The Marlins would open up the season with a four-game series at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Game 1: Marlins 5-4 Pirates
Kyle Stowers hit a walk-off to right field in front of 31,000 giving the Marlins a victory to start the season.
Game 2: Marlins 3-4 Pirates
Oneil Cruz hit the dagger for the Pirates with a two-run homer over the right field wall giving Pittsburgh the 4-3 victory over Miami.
Game 3: Marlins 5-4 Pirates
Dane Myers gets a walk-off RBI single in the 12th inning giving the Marlins the 5-4 victory over the Pirates.
Game 4: Marlins 3-2 Pirates
Griffin Conine gets a homer on the day they honored his dad with Derek Hill getting a walk-off giving Miami the 3-2 victory.
The Marlins will face their first NL East rival of the season welcoming the New York Mets to loanDepot Park.
