Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks
It was a good start coming off the All-Star break for the Miami Heat defeating the Toronto Raptors with Andrew Wiggins having the best game in a Heat uniform so far. There remains one problem with this current Heat team and it's the ability to close out games. Miami has had 10 or more games this season with a lead higher than 10 that was dissipated resulting in a loss. That almost happened against Toronto moving the Heat to visit the Fiserv Forum to face the Milwaukee Bucks.
Tyler Herro continues to lead this Miami Heat team in scoring and rumored to be in contention for the most improved player award finishing the night with 40 points. Bam Adebayo had a big night as well finishing the game with 24 points. Andrew Wiggins would follow that putting up 20 points after his first ever victory in Toronto. Kel'el Ware had a better outing this time around finishing with 12 points followed by Davion Mitchell closing the starting lineup with five points. Nikola Jovic who exited the game with an injury led the bench with seven points.
Once a Miami Heat top target and now Milwaukee Buck Damian Lillard led his team in scoring finishing with 28 points. The main man in Milwaukee Giannis Antetokounmpo followed Lillard finishing the game with 23 points. Brook Lopez would contribute on the night with 17 points and new addition to the Bucks Kyle Kuzma finished the game with 16 points. Taurean Prince struggled on the night only recording two points. Off the bench for the Bucks it was Gary Trent Jr finishing the game with 16 points.
Lillard was back in the lineup for the Bucks after missing Fridays game against Washington dealing with a hamstring injury. Herro had a season high 11 assists with the Heat leading by 14 in the fourth and would be outscored in the final period 35-20. Herro would hit a three-pointer that tied the game 109-109 but Milwaukee would go on a 11-4 run to end the game.
Seven consecutive points by the Bucks in fourth quarter would take the lead off of a lob from Porter finding Jericho Sims making it 97-95. The Bucks bench would outscore the Miami bench 34-12 with yet another Miami lead being blown. Lillard and Giannis were set to be on minute restrictions but ended up playing 38 and 32 minutes. The Bucks would go on to defeat the Heat by a final score of 120-113 with Miami looking like a broken record.
Next up for the Miami Heat is a road game visiting the Atlanta Hawks.
