 Miami Heat vs Sacramento Kings

Fresh off the Mexico City games are the Miami Heat coming back home after defeating the Washington Wizards. The Heat are currently succeeding against teams that are not primed to be playoff candidates and struggling against teams that are. Many Miami fans have been unsatisfied with the team not bringing in help or upgrades. What is big news is Giannis Antetokounmpo is open to leaving the Milwaukee Bucks and has Miami at the top of his list.

Jimmy Butler finished the game against the Sacramento Kings scoring 15 of his 27 points in the 4th quarter with Tyler Herro having another big night finishing with 27 points. Bam Adebayo had a special night as the Miami Heat organization unveiled his banner in the rafters for his participation in the Olympic Games over the summer. Adebayo would finish the game with 16 points meanwhile the rookie Pelle Larsson contributing with 13 points.

DeAaron Fox was the main man for the Sacramento Kings putting up 28 points followed by DeMar DeRozan who had a back and fourth with rapper Drake the other night finished with 26 points. Future all star Damantas Sabonis finished with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists. The Kings entered this game after falling on the road to the Toronto Raptors by a final score of 131-128.

The Kings entered this game without Kevin Huerter due to an illness with Keon Ellis starting in his place meanwhile for Miami it was Kevin Love returning to the team after dealing with personal matters but would not see minutes. Jaime Jaquez Jr would also miss time in this game while he deals with gastroenteritis.

The Heat had a 15-point lead in the third quarter but would be erased by the Kings as they outscored Miami 37-17. The Heat have been outscored 137-71 in four third quarters so far this season where we see that really is the struggle and should be the focus for Miami. Miami was up just five with 1:11 left in the game but DeRozan would earn himself a four-point play leading the Kings to an 8-2 run. Sabonis would have a last second tap in helping the Kings defeat the Heat 111-110.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a road game visiting the Phoenix Suns.
