Miami Heat vs Minnesota Timberwolves

 Miami Heat vs Minnesota Timberwolves

It was a rough outing last time for the Miami Heat falling to the Denver Nuggets but also losing Jimmy Butler to an ankle injury. Tyler Herro has been the bright spot for the team but they're desperately looking to get back in the win column. The road trip would continue for Miami this time visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves who are expected to have another big year after falling short in the Western Conference Finals. The Timberwolves last game was a 127-102 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at home.

Leading the way once again to no surprise this season was Tyler Herro putting up 26 points as the Heat were without Butler. The next closest highest scorer was Nikola Jovic who would drop 15 points followed by Terry Rozier who finished with 11 points. Bam Adebayo with another slow night only putting up nine points followed by Kevin Love and Haywood Highsmith who were both in single digits. This normally would be a loss but Minnesota did not play all that better.

For the Timberwolves it was no other then Anthony Edwards leading the way with 22 points followed by former New York Knick Julius Randle with 17 points. It was a tough night for the big men with Rudy Gobert struggling as well only putting up 7 points. Naz Reid with 15 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker with 12 points had big nights coming off the bench.

This game was a mess for both teams as the Heat recorded season highs with 23 turnovers as well as 14 steals and nine blocks. The Timberwolves also had trouble taking care of the basketball with 20 turnovers. It was a rough shooting night for the Wolves but they also grabbed 16 offensive rebounds which would make it a season best. Herro would have a career best with his 39th consecutive game putting up double digit points.

Naz Reid hit a three late in quarter number three to give the Wolves the lead for the first time since the first quarter where they went on a 15-0 run. Jovic would get a dagger for the Heat getting fouled with dying seconds on the clock plus the bucket. The Miami Heat would go on to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 95-94 breaking the losing streak for Miami.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a road game visiting the Detroit Pistons.
