Florida Panthers vs Nashville Predators
After a shaky start it's clear that the Florida Panthers once again are the best team in the NHL. The Panthers had a couple of days off as they flew back from Finland after participating in the global series against the Dallas Stars. Florida has not lost since October 22nd against the Minnesota Wild and since then have gone on a five-game winning streak. The Panthers were back at home welcoming the Nashville Predators.
Right off the bat just three minutes into the game it was Sam Reinhart with his 11th goal of the season assisted by Barkov to make it a 1-0 Panthers lead. Just two minutes later it was Matthew Tkachuk who would double the lead assisted by Verhaeghe making it 2-0 for Florida. The first period would come to a close with this scoreline.
Just two minutes into the second period it was Evan Rodrigues assisted by Bennett to make the game 3-0 for the Panthers. Off of a power play late in the period it was Carter Verhaeghe assisted by Balinskis to extend the Florida lead to 4-0. Nashville would finally get on the board two minutes later with Stamkos being assisted by Josi to make it 4-1. Verhaeghe would get his fourth of the season at the end of the period to make it a 5-1 lead.
Most of the third period was scoreless until the 11th minute where Nosek assisted by Schmidt would extend the Florida lead to 6-1. The Predators would find another just seconds later through Parssinen earning his second of the season assisted by Del Gaizo making it 6-2. That would be the final score with the Panthers taking a commanding victory over the Predators.
Next up for the Florida Panthers would be a home game welcoming the Philadelphia Flyers to Amerant Bank Arena.
