Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots

Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots

With the loss of Tua Tagavailoa who hasn't returned and other notable injuries like Jaelan Phillips the Miami Dolphins have had a nightmare start to the season. Miami is 1-3 with losses to Buffalo, Seattle, and Tennessee. They would head out to the northeast to face their division rivals the New England Patriots who are also struggling this season after picking up a victory on week one. Everyone expected the Patriots to be a bit stronger than the Dolphins.

Dolphins newly added QB Tyler Huntley would finish the game completing 18 of 31 passes for 194 yards and just one interception. Tyreek Hill who's been struggling the last few games would end his day catching six passes for just 69 yards not being the best of days. The rookie Jalen Wright would run for 86 yards meanwhile Raheem Mostert would tack on 80 yards.

For the Patriots it was QB Jacoby Brissett who would go 18 for 34 on 160 yards. Rhamondre Stevenson would only get 89 yards off of 12 carries with one touchdown. DeMario Douglas on six receptions would end with 59 yards meanwhile Hunter Henry the bight tight end would end the game with just two receptions for 32 yards.

It was a mess of a game with penalties being a problem for both sides but specially for New England. Ingold the full back for Miami would be the only touchdown the Dolphins would see. Odell Beckham Jr saw the field for the first time this season meanwhile De'Von Achane left the game with a concussion. Miami had everything from clock mismanagement to blocked punts and missed field goals.

The Patriots had a chance to win the game on the final drive but false start penalties kept hurting them and a deep bomb pass completed without getting out of bounds would kill the clock. They also had a go ahead touchdown removed that left Gillette Stadium in shock and disbelief which would've gave the Patriots the lead. The Dolphins would hold on to defeat New England by a final score of 15-10 improving to a 2-3 record sitting third in the AFC East.

Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a much needed bye week.
