Miami Dolphins vs Indianapolis Colts

 Miami Dolphins vs Indianapolis Colts

It was a much needed bye week for the Miami Dolphins and now we're right back to the action with the Dolphins visiting the Indianapolis Colts. The Dolphins are really struggling with injuries with the big one obviously at the QB position. Tua Tagavailoa is being reported to return to action in week eight after being knocked out for several games from a concussion. Without a solid QB, the Dolphins have not been able to give the ball to the fastest receiving core in the league.

QB Tyler Huntley was 7 of 13 with 87 yards including one touchdown. Huntley would also run five times for 20 yards but would leave in the third quarter due to an injury and be replaced by Tim Boyle. Boyle would go 8 of 13 with 74 yards meanwhile on the ground it would be Devon Achane had 15 carries for 77 yards. Jonnu Smith would catch seven passes for 96 yards and would have the Dolphins only touchdown of the game. Tyreek Hill would only have one catch for 8 yards and Jaylen Waddle caught only one pass for 11 yards.

QB Anthony Richardson had a hard time Sunday afternoon against a Miami defense that would not quit and let him do anything. Richardson would go 10 of 24 with 129 yards in passing and would go for 56 yards on 14 times rushing. Tyler Goodson would go for 14 carries for 51 yards including one touchdown. In the receiving core it was Michael Pittman Jr on three receptions for 63 yards with nobody on the receiving core having a touchdown.

The Dolphins only score in the game would come in the first quarter on a 10-yard pass from Huntley to Smith with the extra point being good making it 7-0. In the second quarter it was Jason Sanders hitting from 33 to make it a 10-0 Miami lead. Matt Gay for the Colts would nail a 52 yarder at the end of the second quarter making it 10-3 heading to halftime.

The only score that would happen in the third quarter was a Goodson run for seven yards with the extra point after tying the game 10-10. In the 4th it was all Indianapolis with Gay hitting another field goal making it 13-10 for the Colts. It was Gay again with 1:51 left in the game extending the lead to 16-10. Miami would not score again with the Colts taking the victory 16-10 as the Dolphins drop to 2-4 on the season.

Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a home game welcoming the Arizona Cardinals to Hard Rock Stadium.
