Miami Marlins vs Atlanta Braves
A firestorm occurred last series against the Milwaukee Brewers but not on the field. Massive trades for the Marlins occurred shipping out a majority of the squad leaving a vast amount of minor leaguers. Miami would fall in the series against Milwaukee and would have a tough challenge to finish the road trip. The Marlins would travel to the peach state for a four-game series taking on the Atlanta Braves. Miami has not faired well against Atlanta this season.
Game 1: Marlins 2-4 Braves
Max Meyer vs Charlie Morton
Three homers from the Braves gives them the series opening 4-2 victory over Miami.
Game 2: Marlins 3-5 Braves
Valente Bellozo vs Spencer Schwellenbach
Former Marlin Marcell Ozuna hits a tie-breaking sac fly in the 8th to help the Braves past the Marlins 5-3.
Game 3: Marlins 4-3 Braves
Kyle Tyler vs Grant Holmes
Jesus Sanchez breaks the deadlock with a double in the 7th giving the Marlins 4-3 victory putting them back into the series.
Game 4: Marlins 7-0 Braves
Edward Cabrera vs Max Fried
A shutout from the Marlins allowed them to even this series with the 7-0 victory which would be a massive result for Miami.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a home series welcoming the Cincinnati Reds to loanDepot Park.
