 The Miami FC vs Indy Eleven 



It was a Mother's Day home match for The Miami FC welcoming Indy Eleven as they come off a loss on the road falling to Pittsburgh. Miami continues to sit dead last in the Eastern Conference with just seven points as Indy Eleven sits in fourth with 14 points. Indy Eleven enters the match on a five-game unbeaten streak with the last match being a 2-0 win over San Antonio FC. 









As most matches, both teams were not very productive in the opening 15 minutes as they tried to settle in and grow into the match. In the 17th minuter it would be the visitors who would become alive and start gaining possession as well as traction in the attack. Guenzatti would receive a cross putting a shot up on target but would be denied by the post. 








After that chance in the 17th minute both teams would go back to sharing the ball equally. Approaching the end of the half at the 40th minute it would be Indy once again starting to elevate the pressure. The visitors would start to earn various corner kicks in which set pieces has been an issue for Miami this season. 






The first half would end with Indy Eleven scoring on a set piece at the 41st minute. Adrian Dizpe would get his head on the end of a corner kick finding the back of the net making it 1-0. Miami would respond in the 58th minute as Luisinho would go on a great solo run finding Frank Lopez who would slot it home to make it 1-1. 








The tie would not last long as Indy would get a great chance in the 67th minute with a foul inside the box prompting the decision for a penalty. Augustine Williams was the man for Indy who would step up and bury the shot from the spot making it 2-1. Williams would have himself a brace as he found the back of the net again in the 69th minute making it 3-1.







The result would hold as Indy Eleven goes on to defeat The Miami FC by a final score of 3-1 sending them to their second consecutive defeat. Indy will go on to play Hartford Athletic at home looking to extend the streak to 7 unbeaten. Miami has not been able to extend a winning streak past two this season. 







Next up for The Miami FC is a road match visiting Phoenix Rising FC at the weekend.
