Miami Marlins vs Los Angeles Dodgers
The schedule to open up this season has not been forgiving for the Miami Marlins giving them the hardest teams in all of the league. Coming off a series loss to the Oakland Athletics, the Marlins would stay out west and visit the league favorites in the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers come into this series with Shohei Ohtani on a three-game home run streak and completing a series sweep of the Atlanta Braves which is not an easy thing to do.
Game 1: Marlins 3-6 Dodgers
Roddery Munoz vs Walker Buehler
Shohei Ohtani would continue the streak hitting his 11th home run of the season giving the Dodgers the series opening victory 6-3.
Game 2: Marlins 2-8 Dodgers
Edward Cabrera vs Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Yamamoto would go eight innings plus an early Max Muncy homer helps them take the series with the 8-2 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 1-3 Dodgers
Ryan Weathers vs Gavin Stone
It was Teoscar Hernandez in the 6th inning coming up big with a two-run homer giving the Dodgers the series sweep over the Marlins with the 3-1 victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a home series welcoming the Philadelphia Phillies to loanDepot Park.
