Miami Heat vs Golden State Warriors

Miami Heat vs Golden State Warriors

It's been a rough second half of the season for the Miami Heat after an impressive stretch of games heading into the all-star break that made them one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA. Unfortunately for Miami they've had key role players out due to injury leaving them shorthanded which has been the narrative the second half of the season. The Heat would be without Tyler Herro, Kevin Love, and Jimmy Butler against the Golden State Warriors.

Bam Adebayo would have to be the lead man and take the reins in this game finishing the game with 24 points. Haywood Highsmith and Terry Rozier would both score 15 points with the rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr would cap the night off with 12 points. The Serbian sensation Nikola Jovic who's been getting more minutes with all these injuries finished the game with 11 points.

Continue to impress this season is Johnathan Kuminga would finish the night with 18 points followed by Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry who would both earn 17 points. The star of the night was Klay Thompson who dropped 28 points as he continues to silence critics who said he was washed and should be traded or retire. Draymond Green only had four points but had another controversial play where he grabbed Patty Mills by the neck.

This season the Golden State Warriors have struggled and are currently a play-in team same as the Miami Heat have been stronger on the road then at home this season. Thompson was 11 for 20 from the field and 6 for 14 from beyond the arch. The Warriors are on track to be the second team in league history to finish with a winning record while being subpar at home.

The Warriors had a great turnover to assist ratio which allowed them to pull away in the second half to defeat the Heat 113-92. Miami currently sit 7th in the Eastern Conference and had a chance to get 6th with a win after Indiana lost. There is 10 games left in the regular season as Miami's focus is to get back to full health for another deep postseason run. The Warriors would pull away by a full game for 10th over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Portland Trail Blazers to the Kaseya Center.
