Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs

Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs

The last time the Orlando Magic faced the Miami Heat the Magic came away with a huge victory but Miami said not this time. The Heat obliterate the Magic by a final score of 121-95 with the San Antonio Spurs coming to town the next night. Miami has a chance to go 4-1 with a win over the Spurs as the trade deadline approaches. It's imperative for Miami to get those victories against Washington, Orlando, and San Antonio as Boston, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia looms.

Jimmy Butler now leads the Miami Heat in triple doubles after finishing the night wit 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists making it his first triple double in two-years. Tyler Herro would follow suit having a great night with 24 points. Bam Adebayo would have 20 points as Miami's big three were firing on all cylinders.

For San Antonio it was Tre Jones and Devin Vassell who each scored 19 points as they search for their 11th victory of the season. The rookie sensation Victor Wembanyana would finish with 18 points and 13 rebounds. This would be his 25th double double of the season the most amongst this new rookie class. Spurs were all business in South Florida starting the day with practice at a Miami Beach school.

Heat fans were worried as the Spurs kept this game close for three quarters. The lead would never go above eight points with each quarter being decided by a point. Miami would step it up in the 4th opening up a cushioned lead. It would be the first double-digit lead of the night with the Heat going on a 14-4 run.

This would be the first of nine games on the road for the Spurs as the annual San Antonio rodeo takes place in the arena where the Spurs play. The Heat would earn back-to-back victories defeating the Spurs by a final score of 116-104. Miami moves one up in the Eastern Conference going from 8th to 7th in the table.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Boston Celtics to the Kaseya Center.
