Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic
It was a disappointing night last time out for the Miami Heat on Udonis Haslems jersey retirement. Dejounte Murray spoiled the celebrations with a game winner as trade talks heat up with him being a target for Miami. The Heat having lost two in a row will advance to play a young Orlando Magic team that is no joke and has been a tough team to defeat this season. Miami defeated Orlando last time they played in the KIA Center.
Bam Adebayo was the main man for Miami leading the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jimmy Butler would face the Magic for the first time this season and would finish the night with 15 points. Boy wonder Tyler Herro contributed with 12 points. Miami was without rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr once again and they've been missing his offensive production terribly.
Orlando's star player Paolo Ranchero would lead all of the Magics starters finishing the game with 20 points. Markelle Fultz would go for 12 points, 4 assists, and Wendell Carter Jr adding 17 points to the scoresheet. Franz Wagner who returned to the lineup for Orlando missing eight games because of a sprained ankle would tack on 19 points and 5 assists.
The Magic would hold the Heat to a season-low in total points with Miami shooting 37% and committing 18 turnovers. The Heat trailed the entire game and although they did at moment come close to tying the game but Orlando would step on the gas and extend the lead every time. Miami's offense has been stagnant ever since Jaquez Jr went out and as well with Kyle Lowry struggling to generate any production.
Orlando opened up the 4th quarter on a 8-0 run with Wagner hitting a pair of free throws extending the Magic lead to 24. Magic would go on to defeat the Heat 105-87 handing Miami their third straight loss all coming against Eastern Conference opponents. The Heat sit 6th in the conference with a 24-19 record while Orlando sits 8th with a 23-20 record.
Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Memphis Grizzlies to the Kaseya Center.
