Miami Heat vs Memphis Grizzlies

 Miami Heat vs Memphis Grizzlies

The trade rumors revolving around Kyle Lowry finally came true earlier in the week. The Miami Heat would trade Lowry and a draft pick to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Terry Rozier. Rozier who is averaging 20+ a game this season has been a long time admirer of the Miami Heat organization especially because of Dwyane Wade. Rozier would get his Heat debut against the Memphis Grizzlies as they try to break a losing streak.

It was another night for the Heat were the body language looked poor on both sides of the basketball. Tyler Herro led the team in scoring with 18 points followed by Bam Adebayo who finished the night with 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin would both go for 15 as the new guy Rozier had a tough night going for 3-11 shooting. Kevin Love who started the game would leave early as he was not feeling well.

The Memphis Grizzlies entered this game without any of their stars missing Ja Morant, Derrick Rose, and Marcus Smart. Vince Williams Jr scored a career-high earning himself 25 points and didn't help Miami that GC Jackson came off the bench and dropped 17 points. Scotty Pippin Jr and Jaren Jackson Jr took over the second half for Memphis giving their team 15 points each.

Through two quarters and a half the game between Miami and Memphis was closely contested leaving Heat fans scratching their heads on how they were in this situation with a Grizzlies team that is banged up. The Grizzlies would go up by 14 at the end of the third quarter but Miami would go on a run. The Heat would cut that lead to just three after a Herro three-pointer.

That wouldn't be enough as the Grizzlies would go on a 7-0 run to close out the game handing Miami their fourth straight loss falling 105-96. Head coach Erik Spoelstra believes they're in a weird funk right now but are knocking on the door of getting that much needed victory. The Heat currently sit 6th in the Eastern Conference 24-20 tied with the Indiana Pacers. They sit just two games behind the fourth seed Cleveland Cavaliers.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a back-to-back welcoming rivals Boston Celtics to the Kaseya Center.
