Miami Heat vs New York Knicks
Probably one of the most embarrassing losses in recent Miami Heat history and in this current season occurred just last game against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics obliterated Miami sending them to their 5th straight loss. It doesn't get better for Miami as they visit the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden with NY being on a hot run. The good news is that Miami gets Jaime Jaquez Jr back who's been sorely missed.
Jimmy Butler was back on his A-game scoring 28 points as this current Heat starting five gets to see themselves play together all healthy plus the addition of Terry Rozier. Duncan Robinson would finish the afternoon with 19 points followed by Tyler Herro who would finish the game with 18 points. Kevin Love also returned to the lineup after battling an illness.
Jalen Brunson who was snubbed for the All-Star game continues his high level of play going off for 32 points and 8 assists. Julius Randle would add 19 points for NY but would leave the game with four minutes remaining with a shoulder injury and will miss some time. OG Anunoby has been a huge addition for the Knicks and would also reel in 19 points.
One of the biggest highlights of the night had to be Jaquez Jr coming up with an impressive block that definitely made ESPN top plays. The Knicks blew the game out of the water at the beginning of the 4th quarter going on a 13-3 run which included a Brunson three-pointer forcing Spoelstra to call a timeout.
This looked more like the Heat team we're use to seeing with Butler leading Miami on a 13-point comeback in the 3rd but it wasn't enough. Miami would collect their 6th straight loss of the season falling 125-109 to the Knicks. New York shot 72% in the 4th as well as Miami committing turnovers that allowed nine points.
Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Phoenix Suns to the Kaseya Center.
