Miami Heat vs Houston Rockets

 Miami Heat vs Houston Rockets

It was a rather tough road trip for the Miami Heat on the west coast finishing the trip 2-3 after facing the Warriors, Jazz, Clippers, Lakers, and Suns. Jaime Jaquez Jr would pick up some recognition along the way earning back-to-back rookie of the year awards. Miami have finally returned home for a couple of games tipping off with the Houston Rockets.

For the Heat it was boy wonder Tyler Herro leading the way once again this time with 28 points with DPOY candidate Bam Adebayo finishing right behind him with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Kevin Love is another player that's been having a great stint of games finishing with 15 in this one. Duncan Robinson and Jaquez Jr would finish with 14 each followed by Josh Richardson with 12.

The H-town Rockets leading scorer was NBA champion with Toronto Fred VanVleet with 32 points followed by Alperen Sengun who finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Cam Whitmore and Jalen Green both equaled 11 points. This game for the Rockets was the first of an upcoming six-game road trip.

Some injuries to note in this game is the continued absence of Jimmy Butler for Miami and Dillon Brooks was also missing for Houston. Kyle Lowry exited the game immediately for Miami in which he would be diagnosed with a sprained left hand but would return to the bench to watch the conclusion of the game.

Houston would outscore Miami in the final 1:27 of the game with an 8-0 run but that wouldn't matter much as the Heat led a majority of the game. They would head into the lockeroom at halftime tied 59-59 but Herro and Adebayo separated the two teams in the second half. The Heat defeat the Rockets 120-113 pushing them to 4th in the Eastern Conference.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Kaseya Center.
