Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic
The best team in the west the Minnesota Timberwolves were on the ropes by the hands of the Miami Heat. The Heat would blow a 17-point lead and now look to the road to find a win against in state rivals the Orlando Magic at the KIA Center. These are not the days were Miami entered Orlando and got an easy win. The Magic have a great talented team and will give the Heat a great challenge.
Jimmy Butler and Kevin Love would both be out of this game but no worries because boy wonder has us covered. Tyler Herro would drop 28 points 8 rebounds and 7 assists being the most impressive player on the court. Bam Adebayo followed with 18 points and 7 rebounds with Haywood Highsmith who finished with a season high 15 points.
For the hometown Orlando Magic it was Cole Anthony who led the team on the night with 20 points followed by Franz Wagner who contributed with 15 points. Paolo Banchero had a rough night only getting 10 points off of two of twelve shooting with eight assists and eight rebounds. It was eight points for Wendell Carter Jr who returned after missing 20 games due to a hand injury.
The end of the first half would be too much for the Magic to handle and overcome as the Heat would go on a 17-0 run. That run was fueled by three pointers from Tyler Herro, Josh Richardson, Haywood Highsmith, and Duncan Robinson. The Heat also took good care of the basketball only having three turnovers in that second quarter.
Miami had four reserves in double figures that would lead them to the 115-106 victory over the Magic. Despite the win, the Heat sit 7th in the Eastern Conference with a similar 16-12 record as the Cleveland Cavaliers who currently sit 6th.
Next up for the Miami Heat welcoming the Atlanta Hawks to the Kaseya Center on Friday night.
