Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls

 Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls

It was back-to-back victories for the Miami Heat over the Charlotte Hornets that allowed Miami to move up to the 6th spot in the Eastern Conference. Miami would now welcome another conference foe for back-to-back games at the Kaseya Center. The Chicago Bulls enter struggling as rumors are the Bulls are interested in blowing up the entire roster when the trade deadline nears.

Rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr was the lead scorer for the Heat dropping in with 22 points followed by Jimmy Butler scoring 20 points. Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin would equal points with 17 meanwhile Kevin Love would finish with 16 points. The Heat were once again without Bam Adebayo, Haywood Highsmith, and Tyler Herro.

Coby White had an impressive game for the Chicago Bulls scoring 26 points while bench player Ayo Dosunmu had an impressive game as well adding 24 points to the stat sheet. Nikola Vucevic finished the night with 24 points and the main star the veteran DeMar DeRozan would cap the night off with 23 points. All this without the other Bulls star Zach Lavine who is currently out with an injury.

It was just an ugly game for the Miami Heat from beginning to end as the Bulls would kick off the game with a 33-8 run. The Heat were playing catch up the entire night but would cut what was a 32-point lead to a 4-point Chicago lead heading into the locker room at halftime. This was the second largest lead in an opening quarter this season falling behind Boston's opening quarter lead over Washington.

The Heat just couldn't close the gap when they were in striking distance as the Bulls would refuse to lose the lead and drain shots. Miami had a chance in the 4th to take the lead but Chicago would open the lead back up to 11 which would seal the deal. The Chicago Bulls would defeat the Miami Heat 124-116 dropping Miami to the 7th spot in the conference.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a rematch against the Chicago Bulls at the Kaseya Center on Saturday night.
