Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets
There was a lot of question marks floating around after the embarrassing Monday night football loss for the Miami Dolphins at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. Miami fans were quick to pass blame around as well as the media from Tua Tagavailoa to Mike McDaniel. The Dolphins have a chance to respond by getting a victory against the New York Jets.
The big news heading into this game was that WR Tyreek Hill who seemed great during pregame warmups would be ruled out for this game leaving more worry. It was no problem as RB Raheem Mostert set the rushing record in a single season with his two touchdowns. Tagavailoa would go for 224 yards plus a touchdown to cap off his afternoon.
Zach Wilson who was so impressive last week for the Jets throwing for 300 yards would have his day end short with a concussion. The Jets would only put up 103 yards of total offense with nothing to play for as they would miss the playoffs for the 13th straight year. QB Aaron Rodgers is still in contention to returning this season after suffering a torn achilles in week 1.
It was pure dominance and a shutout from the Miami Dolphins on Sunday defeating the New York Jets 30-0. The Jets have not been shutout since the 2021 season were they lost to the Denver Broncos by a final score of 26-0. Jaylen Waddle made his presence felt with a season high 142 yards on just eight catches with one of them being a deep bomb from Tua.
Despite the win, the Dolphins are still being pressured in the AFC East after the Buffalo Bills destroyed the Dallas Cowboys on americas game of the week Sunday afternoon. The division can very well be decided in the last game where the Bills meet the Dolphins. It's worth to note that the Bills have already defeated the Dolphins this season.
Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a Christmas Eve home game welcoming the Dallas Cowboys to Hard Rock Stadium.
