Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks

 Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks

It was a rough weekend for the Miami Heat in the state of New York. The Heat would drop their first in-season tournament game to the Knicks and the very next night across the bridge they would fall to the Nets. Miami played both games were a heavy list of injuries leaving it up to bench players and rookies to take over for the weekend. They returned home for an anticipated in-season tournament game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Strong putting for the Milwaukee Bucks as Giannis Antetokounmpo finished the game with 33 points while the Heat's offseason target Damian Lillard tacked on 32 points. Kris Middleton would have 17 points meanwhile Malik Beasley contributed 16 and Brook Lopez with 12.

For the Heat it was Bam Adebayo who continues his strong performances scoring 31 points followed by Kyle Lowry with 21 and Josh Richardson with 20. Rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr and Caleb Martin would both go for 14 points and Duncan Robinson scoring 13 points.

The Heat entered the game missing the main man Jimmy Butler due to an ankle injury suffered in the game against New York. Haywood Highsmith would also miss the game for Miami due to a back injury. Miami continues to struggle to hold leads late in ballgames as this was another situation where the opponent was able to come back.

Lowry drained a three with three minutes left to put Miami up by three but the Bucks would go on 16-6 run. A foul by Richardson would get Spoelstra hot in which he was hit with a technical foul giving Lillard an extra free throw.

Miami had a chance to win the group or be a wild card team and it seems like they're going to have to go the wild card route after the Bucks defeated the Heat 131-124 making it three straight losses for the Heat. The Heat went cold in the 4th quarter making it the third worst stretch this season for the beloved South Florida side.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Indiana Pacers to the Kaseya Center on Thursday night.
