Miami Heat vs Charlotte Hornets
A five-game winning streak carried the Miami Heat back into the NBA in-season tournament group play visiting the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night. Many people started pointing the finger early because of the bad start Miami got off to but they aren't saying that anymore.
It would be a season-high so far for Jimmy Butler as he scored 32 points meanwhile Bam Adebayo would go for 21 points and 11 rebounds still playing at a high level. Duncan Robinson chimed in with 18 points after an impressive game as well in their last outing.
For the Hornets who are 1-1 in group play they had P.J. Washington drop 32 points including 6 that were part of Charlotte's record of most triples in a game which is 15. LaMelo Ball would add 28 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds.
The Hornets although jumped out in front at the start of the game, they were missing a lot of players due to injury and would come back to hurt them. Miami would go into halftime with a 57-48 lead with Butler draining a shot at the buzzer before the half.
Charlotte would cut the lead to 95-90 in the 4th quarter giving them a chance of getting back into the game but with 1:11 remaining it would be Butler with a clutch shot pretty much sealing the deal putting them up seven. Miami would go on to defeat Charlotte by a final score of 111-105 to remain undefeated in the tournament.
Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Brooklyn Nets to the Kasaya Center.
