FIU vs Middle Tennessee
After a bye week it was time for the FIU Panthers to get back to action after coming off a 41-16 loss at the hands of Jacksonville State before the break. Panthers still have an opportunity to clinch a bowl appearance but it won't be easy as they visit Middle Tennessee which historically as not been an easy place to play.
There was not much to say or anything positive in terms of the FIU Panthers but there was a whole lot for the Blue Raiders. QB Nicholas Vattiato would end the day throwing for 275 yards plus four touchdowns. FIU's Keyone Jenkins would complete 22 of 35 passes for 226 yards.
The Blue Raiders would enter the locker room at halftime with a 31-6 lead over the Panthers after Vattiato would connect with Elijah Metcalf, Holden Willis, and DJ England-Chisolm.
Vattiato would end the day capping it off on a scoring play connecting with Jeremy Tate Jr on a 20-yard pass. FIU would only put up two field goals in this game resulting in the final score of 40-6.
The Panthers would drop to 4-6 on the season with a tough two games to close out the season and eliminating them from bowl contention. FIU alumni and fans have taken to social media to voice their displeasure and some even asking for coach Mike MacIntyre to be relieved of his duties as they now sit at the bottom of Conference USA.
Next up for the FIU Panthers is a road game visiting the Arkansas Razorbacks at the weekend.
