Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs
Road trip continues for the Miami Heat who have put together a four-game winning streak especially after an impressive victory over the Atlanta Hawks while missing key players. The hype for this game surrounded around how Miami would contain Spurs rookie superstar Victor Wembanyama.
The challenge was clear for Miami as they entered this game on the second night of a back-to-back. The Heat were not predicted to win this game especially entering the game short handed.
Duncan Robinson would have his best game so far this season dropping 26 points and Bam Adebayo continues to play at a high level as he dropped 24 points and 11 rebounds. Jimmy Butler would tack on for 19 points but really it was Robinson and Adebayo that helped Miami as they combined for 20 in the 4th quarter.
For the Spurs they were trying to avoid their fifth straight loss as they currently hold a struggling 3-6 record. Keldon Johnson would drop 20 points and 12 rebounds while rookie sensation Wembanyama would tack on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Miami would pull off an amazing comeback from being down 19 to taking the lead in the 4th quarter. This would give the Heat their 5th straight win 118-113 pushing them up to 3rd in the Eastern Conference meanwhile the Spurs drop their 5th straight.
Next up for the Miami Heat is a road game returning to the in-season tournament visiting the Charlotte Hornets.
