Miami Marlins vs Philadelphia Phillies
The Miami Marlins finally made it to the postseason after a trying/challenging second half of the season. Miami would clinch in Pittsburgh after a dramatic turn of the events in New York against the Mets. They got the job done to avoid traveling back to New York. The Marlins would travel to Citizens Bank Park to take on the Philadelphia Phillies.
Game 1: Marlins 1-4 Phillies
Jesus Luzardo vs Zack Wheeler
Wheeler strikes out eight helping the Phillies take Game 1 by a final score of 4-1.
Game 2: Marlins 1-7 Phillies
Braxton Garrett vs Aaron Nola
The Phillies offense erupted eliminating the Marlins from the postseason with the 7-1 victory.
That will do it for the Miami Marlins in 2023 and will be back next season for another attempt to go back to the postseason.
