Inter Miami CF vs NYCFC

 Inter Miami CF vs NYCFC

For the fourth straight match there was no Lionel Messi for Inter Miami CF as he continues to be day-to-day with an injury. Jordi Alba also wasn't in uniform dealing with an injury as well as Miami welcomed NYCFC to DRV PNK Stadium for another playoff implicated match.

Leonardo Campana would start us off in the 19th minute with a pass off of a free kick from Farias but his sliding attempt would be saved.

Through 45 minutes neither side really created anything after the Campana chance making it a very slow match especially to watch. Miami would control possession in that first half with 63% possession but New York held its own.

Still searching for the opener in the second half where things got a little more even it would be NYCFC finding the back of the net in the 77th minute. Santiago Rodriguez would give the visiting side the 1-0 lead late in the match.

Miami would increase the pressure after conceding the goal bringing energy and life throughout the Fort Lauderdale Stadium. A corner kick from substitute Robert Taylor would find the head of Aviles to equalize the match 1-1 in the fifth minute of added time out of seven.

Ruiz would slip in a run behind the line in the box firing off a shot hitting off the cross bar almost delivering the winner for Miami. The match would end up as a 1-1 draw as both teams continue to fight and stay alive for playoff hopes.

Next up for Inter Miami CF is a road match visiting the Chicago Fire in the middle of the week.
