The Miami FC vs Indy Eleven

The Miami FC vs Indy Eleven

The Miami FC loom just outside of the Eastern Conference playoffs with just seven matches remaining in the regular season. Miami is looking to bounce back on the road after taking a hard 2-0 loss to Tampa Bay at home. They visit Indy Eleven who got the best of Miami the last time they met with Indy coming off a 2-1 victory over Loudoun United.

Miami looked to be the better and more disciplined side with the midfield expanding play across the field providing attacking options. Indy Eleven played well but struggled to regain possession limiting the chances they had on attack. The South Florida side were able to maintain composure despite loud crowd in Indianapolis.

The moment of magic arrived for Indy Eleven in the 71st minute making it 1-0 which was the similar deficit for Miami in their first matchup this season. After a solid game, Miami's backline struggles on a clearance provided an easy pass for a tap in for Indy. The home side then turned to putting all their players in the back to protect the lead.

The South Florida side responded by throwing everyone to the front to try to find an equalizer. Indy remained strong with parking the bus. The match would enter stoppage time with Indy still leading Miami 1-0.

The nail in the coffin would be Paco Craig taking down an Indy player to save themselves from a potential second goal. This would send Miami down to 10 men and something they would not recover from in the dying stages of the match.

Indy Eleven would take the +3 with the 1-0 victory over The Miami FC sending the South Florida side down 10th in the table.

Next up for The Miami FC is a road match visiting Detroit City FC at the weekend.
