Inter Miami CF vs LAFC
An extensive guest list was on display from LeBron James to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to watch the hottest brand in the world which is Inter Miami CF. Miami faces another challenge in their push for the playoffs visiting the defending champions in LAFC. The occasion gave flashback to when David Beckham first played in Los Angeles in front of a star studded guest list.
LAFC started the match off hot and it looked like they would score any minute. The black and gold had a multitude of chances but couldn't put them away frustrating the passionate LAFC fan base. Against this Inter Miami CF team you must be perfect and take them out of the match early. You can't afford to squander chances.
The 13th minute would bring the opener for the Herons in which since Lionel Messi joined, teams have struggled to win matches when Miami scores first. Aviles would play a ball from the halfway line finding itself to Farias who would put it away at the far post for 1-0.
Early in the second half it would be the FC Barcelona connection showing why they were one of the best trio's in the world. Sergio Busquets would find Messi who had a clever turn and provided a pin point through ball to Jordi Alba who would put it away for 2-0.
The homegrown substitute Noah Allen would find Messi who was all alone but a trailing LAFC defender would reach the Argentine who displayed fancy footwork and find the overlapping Leonardo Campana. The Ecuadorian would curl a low shot past McCarthy to make it 3-0 in favor of the South Florida side.
The Southern California side would draw one back in the 90th minute on a set piece in which is Miami's weakness defensively. Ryan Hollingshead would get his head on the end of one to make the match 3-1 in the dying stages.
Inter Miami CF would earn the +3 with a 3-1 victory over LAFC putting them just nine points away form the playoffs with nine matches left.
Next up for Inter Miami CF is a home match at DRV PNK Stadium welcoming Sporting Kansas City at the weekend.
