Miami Marlins vs Philadelphia Phillies
The struggle continues but not as bad as the beginning of the second half. The Marlins have started to pick it up just a bit winning some games as well as making some moves at the trade deadline. Miami last took two out of three at home from the Detroit Tigers. They now enter a four-game series welcoming in the Philadelphia Phillies for an important series.

Walker becomes the first pitcher to earn 12 wins in the majors leading Philadelphia to a series opening 4-2 victory.
Game 2: Marlins 1-3 Phillies
Sandy Alcantara vs Ranger Suarez
Castellanos homers in the 9th giving the Phillies the 3-1 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 9-8 Phillies
Braxton Garrett vs Zack Wheeler
Jesus Sanchez ends the game in the 12th inning with a homer giving the Marlins the 9-8 victory.
Game 4: Marlins 2-4 Phillies
Johnny Cueto vs Michael Lorenzen
Lorenzen goes for eight innings shutting down Miami and earning the series win with a 4-2 victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a weekend road trip to GlobeLife Field taking on the Texas Rangers.
