The Miami FC vs Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

The Miami FC vs Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

The Miami FC season which started with much optimism is rapidly starting to decline with the hopes of playoffs glimmering. The team is currently in a long winless streak having come close to breaking it they haven't found the luck. A chance to break the streak arrived on the road this weekend visiting the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

A well organized Colorado defense shut down Miami early on from creating chances in the final third as they controlled possession. This allowed Colorado to grow into the match and takeover especially through counter attacks. The Switchbacks were extremely disciplined defensively making any attack for Miami nearly impossible.

This would end the first half with Colorado feeling confident heading to the dressing room that if they continued this trend in the second half they would find their goal.

Miami would enter the second half with motivation to try to turn the momentum around and find that opening goal. Once again it was Springs that would shut down anything that the visiting side wanted to do offensively.

A counter attack in the 59th minute shocked Miami with a perfectly placed ball leaving the defense with no chance to do anything about it. Colorado would take the lead 1-0 and once again in this winless streak would crush the Miami morale.

In the 75th minute it would be Colorado again with this time putting the dagger in the coffin making it a 2-0 lead.

That would be the match with Miami FC dropping another match and the search for a victory continues.

Next up for The Miami FC is a home match at the weekend welcoming Phoenix Rising FC to FIU Stadium.
