They would have two more chances at home to get back on track before the All-Star break. The Marlins would embark on a four-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals who historically have a winning record against Miami.

Game 2: Marlins 15-2 Cardinals
Jesus Luzardo vs Adam Wainwright
Jesus Sanchez would homer twice along with Garrett Cooper leading the Marlins on an offensive rout of the Cardinals 15-2.
Game 3: Marlins 10-9 Cardinals
Bryan Hoeing vs Matthew Liberatore
Gurriel takes advantage of an error round third providing Miami with a walk-off victory and series win with the final score of 10-9.
Game 4: Marlins 0-3 Cardinals
Eury Perez vs Jack Flaherty
Flaherty shut down the Miami offense along with Arenado getting a homer helping St. Louis avoid the sweep with the 3-0 victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a home weekend series at loanDepot Park welcoming the Philadelphia Phillies.
