The Miami FC vs Orange County SC
The Miami FC desperately look to get back in the win column after suffering back-to-back losses at the hands of Louisville City and the San Diego Loyal. They had a chance to do that at home welcoming Orange County SC to FIU Stadium. Orange County entered the match after suffering a 1-0 loss at home to the Phoenix Rising.
A defensive stalemate proved to be on hand this past Saturday night at FIU Stadium. Both teams struggled to get the ball out of the midfield and into the final third. Five yellow cards were distributed in the first half of this game showing the physicality of the matchup. Both teams would head into the dressing room all knotted up 0-0 at the half.
Christian Sorto would enter the match in the second half for Miami looking for the breakthrough in the match. Unfortunately, there was no getting past the wall of defenders in the Orange County backline who stood firm all night.
The Miami backline would emulate the same as Orange County absolutely not budging on anything the California side tried to do offensively.
There wasn't any goals to celebrate in this match but for Miami fans, they got to see Gabriel Cabral come on as a substitute making his debut for the club.
Miami and Orange County would conclude in a 0-0 draw splitting the points after a strong defensive battle leaving the teams searching to get back in the win column.
Next up for The Miami FC is a home match at the weekend welcoming Memphis 901.
