The 10-game west coast road trip began with a series at Oracle Park against the San Francisco Giants where the Marlins were only able to take one of the three losing the series. They moved on to another NL West team in the Colorado Rockies for a four-game series. The Rockies entered the series having been swept by the Texas Rangers.

Game 2: Marlins 4-5 Rockies
Eury Perez vs Austin Gomber
Big 5th inning for Charlie Blackmon sees the Rockies defeat the Marlins 5-4.
Game 3: Marlins 10-2 Rockies
Sandy Alcantara vs Karl Kauffmann
Yuli Gurriel with four hits contributes to an explosive day offensively for Miami as they defeat Colorado 10-2.
Game 4: Marlins 6-7 Rockies
Braxton Garrett vs Kyle Freeland
Ezequiel Tovar walks it off for Colorado in the 9th getting by the Marlins 6-7.
Next up for the Miami Marlins on this road trip is a trip to the city of angels for a weekend series with the Los Angeles Angels.
