Miami Marlins vs San Francisco Giants
The next in line from the NL West division to visit loanDepot Park to face the Marlins would be the San Francisco Giants. The Giants entered this series with a bit of a shaky start sitting fourth in the NL West division which must be frustrating for Giants fans after a spectacular 2021 season two years ago. The Marlins enter the series on a four-game winning streak.
Game 1: Marlins 4-3 Giants
Jesus Luzardo vs Logan Webb
After trailing the Giants all night down three runs, Jean Segura was able to score after a balk from Webb. What happened next would extend the winning streak with Jorge Soler coming in as a pinch hitter hitting a HR to give Miami the win.
Game 2: Marlins 4-2 Giants
Edward Cabrera vs Alex Wood
The Giants were kept to two runs and six hits over the course of six innings by Cabrera on the mound. Jazz Chisholm Jr would hit a three-run homer that would cruise the Marlins past the Giants 4-2 extending the winning streak to six.
Game 3: Marlins 2-5 Giants
Trevor Rogers vs Alex Cobb
The Marlins winning streak would end at six with this one going all the way to the 11th inning with the Giants avoiding the series sweep. Michael Conforto and Mike Yastrzemski both homering to give San Francisco the 5-2 victory.
Next up for the Marlins is a weekend series on the road visiting the Cleveland Guardians.
