Tylor Megill would go for six shutout innings with Francisco Lindor and Starling Marte homering to open the weekend series with a 9-3 victory over the Marlins.
Game 2: Marlins 2-5 Mets
Trevor Rogers vs Kodai Senga
The Mets win the pitching matchup once again with Senga blanking the Marlins at the plate. Pete Alonso will punish Miami once again with another homer giving New York the 5-2 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 7-2 Mets
Braxton Garrett vs Carlos Carrasco
Carlos Carrasco struggled immensely on the mound for New York Sunday afternoon giving up five stolen bases as well as a Bryan De La Cruz homer. De La Cruz would bring in four runs to take one back from the Mets 7-2.
The northeast road trip continues for the Miami Marlins as they visit NL East rivals the Philadelphia Phillies for a three-game series.
