Jon Rahm wins the Masters

 Jon Rahm wins the Masters

After a weekend filled with weather delays at the beautiful Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia, we've finally crowned a Masters champion.

This was the first major where LIV Golf players would be going head-to-head with PGA players with bragging rights on the line with who would take home such a huge accomplishment as winning the Masters.

We start with Tiger Woods who will always draw much attention nonetheless at a place like Augusta where he's won five times. It was evident he was struggling since Round 1 on Thursday where he never broke being in the 50's. Woods withdraw himself Sunday morning before the final two rounds of the tournament due to injury.

Other big names to mention that would not make the cut in Augusta would be Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson, Justin Thomas, and Rory Mcllroy.

From the beginning of Round 3 at the end of Saturday entering Sunday morning it looked like we might have a LIV winner at the Masters. Both Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka turning on the heat with Koepka leading most of the way into the 4th and final round.

The Spaniard Jon Rahm had something to say about that who would recover nicely from the previous days. Rahm would go ahead and win the Masters by four strokes ahead of Koepka becoming the 4th Spaniard to win the major. This would also be his second only major win along the PGA Tour for Rahm.

Koepka was in the lead of the Masters for three rounds but could not finish the mission on the last day. He would bogey on the sixth hole as well as a chip that would be far off from the pin and a missed putt for par. These mistakes saw him surrender the lead to Rahm who had a sensational Sunday.

The 12th hole would be the difference between Koepka and Rahm which allowed the Spaniard to start opening up his lead.

Rahm's victory was a huge success for the PGA and for the country of Spain.
