The Miami FC vs FC Tulsa

The Miami FC vs FC Tulsa

A new USL Championship season has arrived as well as new Miami FC kits and a new broadcast deal with local My33 with the ability to reach more fans. The blue and orange welcomed FC Tulsa to FIU Stadium for the first match of the regular season and second season under Anthony Pulis.

A slow rhythm from both teams to start out this match under the early evening South Florida heat. Something to mention is that FC Tulsa had seven players making their debut after the club went on an overhaul this past offseason.

In the 26th minute it was the home side drawing first blood for a dream start to the new campaign. Florian Valot received a ball outside the 18 hammering a missile by the goalkeeper to make it 1-0, but it wouldn't last long.

Just a minute after a perfect start for Miami, it was Tulsa who would have a quick response. A powerful shot from Collin Fernandez forced the Miami keeper to get his body in front deflecting it out and falling at the feet of Milo Yosef. Yosef would do the honors and score the rebound to make it a level match 1-1.

In the second half it was Miami FC who controlled the game but could not go on and find anything in the final third. The home team would also outshoot Tulsa in the second half but just couldn't find the go ahead goal.

The Miami FC and FC Tulsa would share the points for the first fixture of the 2023 season. Next up for The Miami FC is a date with New Mexico United at FIU Stadium.
