Georgia dominates TCU in the National Championship
Most of us took a breathe and said at last, we don't have the same national championship once again. Sure it was different but it was anything but entertaining. The meeting between the TCU Horned Frogs who took out Michigan and the Georgia Bulldogs who got by slightly against Ohio State, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles was nothing but pure domination from the Bulldogs.
The Georgia Bulldogs are making a case to become the next college football dynasty as they achieved back-to-back national championships after a dominant 65-7 rout of TCU.
Georgia QB Stetson Bennett who now has earned two national championships was subbed out of the game early finishing his special night with six touchdowns. Bennett would also earn himself MVP honors at the end of the game.
Georgia's 65 points broke a record for most points scored in a national championship with Nebraska previously holding the record with 62 points over Florida in 1996.
The Horned Frogs were the cinderella surprise team of the season but it was evident that they had no business being in this title game against Georgia. This continues to open the claim that the CFP Committee should continue to consider expanding the playoff system to make it more competitive and even.
The game was all but over at halftime with the Bulldogs leading the Horned Frogs by a score of 38-7. Georgia becomes the 9th program in college football history to go back-to-back.
