Miami Dolphins vs Pittsburgh Steelers
The Miami Dolphins celebrated 50 years of the undefeated 1972 team with a prime time matchup on Sunday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This also marked the return of QB Tua Tagavailoa to the lineup.
It is evident how much of a better team Miami is when they have their starting QB in the game. Many say that if Tua was healthy they could've easily been undefeated like the Eagles.
Tua would throw for 261 yards that included an opening drive touchdown to Raheem Mostert. The Dolphins dominated the first quarter up 13-0 but that would change. The Steelers would get on the board in the second quarter.
The second half would be an all defensive affair from the Dolphins. The Steelers would make two big attempts down 16-10 to get into the end zone. Pittsburgh would be as close as three points in the second half after George Pickens would pick up a 7-yard touchdown.
The defense came up clutch for Miami as the Steelers entered the Dolphins side of the field on both of those important drives it would Holland and Igbinoghene with interceptions that would end the game.
The Dolphins would go on to win by a final score of 16-10 and advance to a positive record of 4-3 after a rocky stretch of games.
Next up for the Dolphins is a road trip up north to visit the Detroit Lions.
