Miami Dolphins vs Minnesota Vikings
The Dolphins entered this weekend with major injury problems as they welcomed a red hot Vikings team. Many think that if the Dolphins were healthy they could easily be 5-1. It would be third string QB Skylar Thompson getting the start after injuries to Teddy Bridgewater and Tua Tagavailoa.
Things would get from bad to worse for Miami as Thompson would exit the game with a thumb injury. Teddy Bridgewater would enter the game as it was the 4th consecutive game that the Dolphins would have a QB injury.
Penalties would hurt the Dolphins despite their good offensive start. It was a defensive rhythm to start for the Vikings only giving up a field goal that Bridgewater helped set up. The Vikings were able to get on the board in the second quarter with Cousins finding Irv Smith Jr. for a gain of one on the touchdown.
Cousins would connect later on with Adam Thielen for a touchdown that was assisted by a massive 47-yard gain by Justin Jefferson. Miami would strike back with a Gesicki touchdown to continue to make the game competitive despite the injuries.
Miami native Dalvin Cook who felt right at home would earn himself a 53-yard touchdown followed by a successful two-point conversion. This would put the Vikings up 24-10 which allowed for one more Miami score with an unsuccessful two-point conversion.
The Dolphins attempted an onside kick but were unsuccessful in the attempt giving the ball right back to the Vikings to seal the deal. Minnesota would hand Miami it's third straight loss by a final score of 24-16. The Dolphins fall to 3-3 on the season and expect Tua Tagavailoa back next weekend.
Next up for the Miami Dolphins a Sunday night matchup welcoming the Pittsburgh Steelers.
