The Miami FC vs Detroit City
The Miami FC entered the final regular season sitting 6th and ready to battle Detroit for seeding which would make a whole difference in who each team plays in the first round of the playoffs.
It was a super close first half with both teams only having managed to fire one shot on target. It was a scrappy match that kept both clubs at a stalemate throughout the match.
The road team would find it's chance and was the only chance on goal. It would be Joaquin Rivas receiving a ball from Christian Sorto to tap it past the keeper for 1-0 right before halftime.
In the second half, the visiting team dominated possession focusing on playing defense to be able to hold onto that one goal lead. It was the 12th clean sheet of the season for Miami's goalkeeper Connor Sparrow.
The Miami FC would hold on for the 1-0 victory on the road to finish the season off with +3. A victory on the last match of the season means momentum heading into the playoffs.
Next up for The Miami FC is a quarterfinal matchup on the road against rivals the Tampa Bay Rowdies to kick off the playoffs.
