The Miami FC vs Indy Eleven
The Miami FC entered this weekends matchup against Indy Eleven on a five-game winless streak looking to get some much needed points. Indy's most recent match was a 5-0 thrashing defeat to the San Diego Loyal. Both clubs would be looking to get back on top in the win column with +3.
The first 25 minutes of the match was an intense tone set by the visiting team Miami showing they came to play and take care of business. Indy would have chances in the 30th and 31st minutes keeping Connor Sparrow alert in goal. Both teams would head to the dressing room all knotted up at 0-0.
Once again starting out a half it was Miami that continued to show pressure to win this match. Much like their last match they were struggling to find finishing options in the box. The 57th minute would turn out to be the crucial moment for both teams. Stanley would find a striding Joshua Perez who would slot it home giving them that one spark they needed to make it 1-0 for Miami. No dangerous responses would come out of Indy except some manageable saves for Sparrow. The blue and orange would go on to break their winless streak and return to South Florida with +3.
Next up for The Miami FC is a road match on July 9th visiting the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
