Inter Miami CF vs Minnesota United

Inter Miami CF returned to DRV PNK Stadium this past weekend where they have built a solid foundation of playing in front of their home crowd. Miami looked to bounce back after what was a disappointing performance last week against Atlanta United. The Loons entered this match on a three-game losing streak as they've recently renewed their manager Adrian Heath.

The first half wouldn't provide much from either squad although Miami did retain most of the possession. The Herons easily could've been up at least a goal by squandered chances especially one by Leonardo Campana kept the match tied. These are chances that Campana needs to put away when you're asked to be your teams primary goal scorer. Both teams after 45 would head to the dressing room all knotted up 0-0.

The Loons would find their groove starting the second half finding the back of the net with the goal scored by Luis Amarillo making it 1-0 in the 65th minute. Traditionally, Miami hasn't responded well when trailing in the match but substitutions made by Phil Neville late in the game bringing on Gonzalo Higuain, Emerson Rodriguez and Indiana Vassilev would prove the difference.

Vassilev, the man back in Miami for s second loan stint from Aston Villa would play late game hero once more. Indiana Jones as the Miami fan base call him scored a match winner last season when Nashville was in town and would do it again this weekend. Indy would score in the 87th minute to equalize 1-1 and would return in the 90th minute to strike the match winner to make it 2-1.  Inter Miami CF earns the +3 moving up to 8th in the Eastern Conference as well as Indiana Vassilev earning himself a spot in the MLS Team of the Week.

Inter Miami CF will play on the road next on July 4th visiting FC Dallas.
