Inter Miami CF vs NYCFC
The main topic out of this match would be the final match for Taty Castellanos in a New York uniform before a move to La Liga's Girona FC. Castellanos was the goal leader last season as well as MVP and right back in the mix again this season but sadly won't be able to finish the defense. We knew New York was going to come out in full force for this occasion and on top of that Miami having some injury issues. Shaan Hundal was signed on a short loan from Inter Miami CF II to help Phil Neville with the current injuries on the first team.
Another sloppy start from the South Florida side in which Neville has stated needs to change for them to start winning matches. Who else then Castellanos would be involved in the action squaring a pass to Maxi Moralez in which he has partnered with so well to meg Drake Callender off of a difficult angle to make it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Miami would have first half chances between Gonzalo Higuain and Robert Taylor with perfect chances that quite frankly should've been in the back of the net. The defending champions would head to the dressing room at Yankee Stadium leading 1-0.
The second half would be dead on the offense side of things for Miami who would bring on the youngster Noah Allen and Emerson Rodríguez. The chances of Higuain and Taylor after conceding would be there only push back in the match. Heber would find a deflection in the 75th minute to extend the lead to 2-0 for NYCFC. The champions would shut out Miami who have struggled on the road this season as well as falling to 11th in the Eastern Conference. They could possibly fall to 12th depending on Atlanta's result in Los Angeles.
Next up for Inter Miami CF is a home match at DRV PNK Stadium welcoming FC Cincinnati.
