The Miami FC vs Loudoun United

Late thunderstorms at Segra Field kept this match starting on time and it's been the current mood for Loudoun United. They were taught a hard lesson last week against the Tampa Bay Rowdies and would learn another one here against another Florida team. Miami on the other hand entered this match coming off an uneventful 0-0 draw against Orange County SC.

The Miami FC energetic pace that we all know kicked off the match giving United some defensive concerns but it wouldn't matter. United would strike blood first with Abdoul Zanne marking in the 13th minute to give the Virginia side the 1-0 lead. This wouldn't phase Miami as they would continue their pace and continue to push. Florian Valot would equalize things in Virginia 11 minutes before halftime in the 34th minute to make it a 1-1 match. That would end all the action in the first half as both teams would head to the break all squared up.

The second half can best be described as a chances war with both squads having equal opportunity to jump in front. If there's any moment a team would not want to concede it would be in the dying moments of a match and that's exactly what happened to United. Paco Craig would get his name on the scoresheet with 90+2 on the clock to give Miami the 2-1 lead. If you're Loudoun, late in this match you throw your defense in the back and settle for the draw if your opposition is throwing the kitchen sink at you offensively. United drops another match while Miami goes on and earns +3 to take home and remain seventh in the Eastern Conference.

Next up for The Miami FC is another road match against New Mexico United on August 6th.
